It’s Time to Play the Music….AT 60MPH!!!!

RIDE DETAILS

  • Height Requirement: 48″ (122 cm)
  • Accessibility: Must Transfer to Wheelchair, Then to Ride Vehicle
  • Lightning Lane: Tier 1 Lightning Lane

It’s time we get things started on the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets! The Electric Mayhem have cranked the amps to 11 and this summer’s must-do attraction is bringing a whole lot of chaos to Sunset Boulevard! Starting May 26, 2026, the completely reimagined coaster launches into history, and it is just as delightfully unhinged as any Muppet fan would want it to be!

It’s no longer the days of Aerosmith and the super-stretch limo. Now we have a full Muppet takeover led by Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem, complete with the psychedelic theming and backstage antics you love about the Mayhem, and a soundtrack that gets even louder than before!

From the moment you walk into the Courtyard, it’s clear this isn’t just a retheme. This is a full-on Muppet rock festival. If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in the coming months, you’ll want this attraction at the top of your list!

The Courtyard Has Gone Full MAYHEM

The transformation starts outside, before you even enter the queue. The iconic giant guitar is still there, but now it sports a glorious Electric Mayhem makeover. The paint scheme pulls inspiration from the band’s legendary bus, splashed in vibrant psychedelic colors.

I think my favorite detail has to be the one single gold piano key at the base of the guitar, an obvious nod to the one and only Dr. Teeth. These are the kinds of details we fans just LOVE!

The Muppet takeover is complete. The only thing missing is Statler and Waldorf heckling from the bushes (or….are they missing?!)

Scooter’s Running the Show…What Could Go Wrong?

If you rode the original coaster, you remember the setup: tour the recording studio, meet Aerosmith, race through LA traffic to make their concert. Now? G-Force Records has changed hands, and naturally, the Muppets have taken over.

Every true Muppet fan knows that Scooter’s mysteriously wealthy uncle somehow bankrolls all the Muppets’ ventures. (You know, except for Manhattan Melodies and the Theater in the Jason Segel movies.) Apparently, he now owns a record label, too.

Which leaves Scooter in charge, which is both questionable and entirely on-brand for the Mayhem. And Scooter is trying his best.

The queue is packed with Electric Mayhem posters, album art, and references to the band’s musical history. Keep your eyes peeled for two hidden nods to the original ride tucked into the new décor. I’m not telling where, so consider it your first backstage scavenger hunt.

Mahna Mahna STRAIGHT to the Preshow – Where a NEW Animatronic Steals the Spotlight

You still receive VIP passes, because you are a VIP, but instead of stumbling into an Aerosmith recording session, you walk into a rehearsal with The Electric Mayhem preparing for the biggest concert of their careers. Fer Sure. Rully.

This preshow debuts the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Scooter, and it sounds amazing. Pretty sure I need one for my house! Using motion-capture sensors of the actual Scooter Muppet, the Imagineers recreated his expressions and movements for an incredibly realistic Muppet!

Meanwhile, a crew of penguin sound engineers (because of course) frantically tries to keep things together while Scooter attempts to wrangle the band to their concert, and legions of adoring fans, on time. In true Muppet fashion, things go sideways. VERY sideways.

The Setlist is a Jam Session at Launch Speed

Have no fear, you still go from zero to sixty in 3…2…1! And once the countdown begins, it’s still the same high-speed launch you know and love. But the soundtrack is all new, and fully leans into Muppet musical mayhem:

  • “Song 2” — The Electric Mayhem
  • “Born to Be Wild” — The Electric Mayhem featuring Camilla the Chicken
  • “Love Rollercoaster” — featuring Jennifer Hudson and Questlove
  • “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” — featuring Def Leppard
  • “Walking on Sunshine” — featuring Kelly Clarkson

Same twists, loops, and launch, it’s just been MUPPEFIED! Animal is probably gonna scream louder than anybody!

Swedish Chef Is Serving FØØD (BØRK BØRK)

Just steps away from the attraction, the brand-new FØØD by Swedish Chef opens the same day, bringing absurdly fun snacks inspired by the chef’s culinary disasters.

Menu highlights:

  • Wocka Wocking Nachos — corn chips, queso blanco, tomatoes
  • Churro Drumstick — twisted churro with mixed berry sugar, raspberry sauce, sprinkles, chocolate dip
  • Mayhem Soft-Serve Float — frozen blue raspberry with vanilla soft serve and cotton candy
  • Pink Le-moi-nade — guava lemonade with pink shimmer
  • Pond Water Limeade — limeade, green apple, fruit boba pearls

Plus classic park snacks like mini corn dogs, cookies, soft serve, and frozen blue raspberry drinks (including adult versions with Bacardi or Tito’s).

Honestly, it’s exactly what Swedish Chef would make if someone handed him a concession stand and no supervision. Though I do have to ask….WHERE’S THE POPPING CORN IN THREE D?

Beaker Believe It: This IS Summer’s Must-Do Ride

This isn’t just an updated coaster. This is a whole new identity for one of Hollywood Studios’ most iconic attractions. The Muppet humor, iconic music, Easter Eggs, and food all make this one of the biggest additions to experience in 2026.

Whether you’re a lifelong Muppet fan, like me, a coaster lover, like me, or just curious what happens Disney gives a rock coaster to a bunch of puppets, like me, this is worth taking a trip just for this ride. Summer is going to be HUGE at Walt Disney World Resort, and this is shaping up to be one of the most popular new experiences.
